ENTITY

Times with family at special times of the year—no matter whether it’s birthday’s, anniversaries, Christmases or other ceremonial events—are really very good “excuses” to just simply get together.

And it’s no matter if some family members resist these times. We can get them there often by stealth; once they’re there we can then work on blessing them with our hospitality. (If some family are beyond getting them to our special events we must simply accept this and pray for a change in their hearts—always [as much as humanly possible] remaining open and friendly toward them—but I do acknowledge, it can hurt.)

Families are supposed to be units or entities that have an identity all their own.

It’s a privilege to be part of a family—noting each person as a most special and unique individual, who’s in their very own way, made some real impact on our lives and the lives of other family members.

If we’re the adults in control of the family, and its destiny as this “unit” of human togetherness, it bodes us well to take the time to dream up our vision for where we’re going. In this we’re devoting a big part of ourselves to the process of design and creation.

It’s truly a great reality to have this responsibility—in this, human lives of people we care about depend for their happiness, to a degree, on us.
